As an English major and bookworm of many, many years I really wanted to incorporate the magic of books and literature into our wedding. At the reception, we’re incorporating love quotes from great authors into the centerpieces. Here are just a few of my favorites that we’ll be using!
“My will and my desire were turned by love, The love that moves the sun and other stars.”—Dante Alighieri
“We loved with a love that was more than love”—Edgar Allen Poe
“If ever two were one, then surely we. If ever man were loved by wife, then thee; I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold, Or all the riches that the East doth hold.”—Anne Bradstreet
What are your favorite love quotes by famous authors? What about for Virginia Woolf? Or EE Cummings? CS Lewis?
